This easy Southern Cornbread Dressing recipe is a delicious side dish to add to your holiday dishes. Prepare ahead of time and pop in the oven for about 30 minutes and then serve. One of the easiest dishes you will have for a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal. Added Sage Vitality, Thyme Vitality and Black Pepper Vitality Young Living essential oils add flavor.

Southern Cornbread Dressing

You will need: 

4 large eggs, divided
3 cups soft breadcrumbs
2 medium onions, diced
3 cups diced celery
6 (10 1/2 ounce) cans condensed chicken broth
1/2 cup diced ham, turkey, and boiled egg whites
3 drops Sage Vitality -or – 1 1/2 teaspoon dried Sage
2 drops Thyme Vitality -or – 1 tablespoon measured dried Thyme
2 drops Black Pepper Vitality -or- 1/2 teaspoon measured ground Black Pepper

*A add-in for my everyday southern cornbread dressing recipe that pairs well with baked ham, pork chops, and more. Add chopped fresh okra along the top before baking to include additional vegetables in your dressing recipe.

Prepare: 

Crumble cornbread into a large bowl.
Stir in breadcrumbs and set aside.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onions and celery and saute until tender.
Add sauteed vegetables & remaining ingredients into cornbread mixture & stir.
Pour evenly into 1 lightly greased 13×9″ baking dish and 1 9″ square baking dish.
Cover and chill 8 hours.
Bake, uncovered at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.

  • 1/2 cup butter

Instructions
